2013 Evidence-Based Practice Symposium Focuses on Implementation Science

“Implementation Science: Closing the Gap between Innovation and Practice" was selected as the theme for the 7th Leadership Symposium on Evidence-Based Practice to highlight implementation efforts in the field.

The symposium was held on January 8, 2013, at UC Davis’s Conference Center and Alumni Center. It is sponsored by CalSWEC, the Child & Family Policy Institute of California (CFPIC, the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), the California Comprehensive Center at WestEd, the California Institute for Mental Health (CIMH), and the UC Davis Extension Center for Human Services

This year’s symposium had a multi-disciplinary focus and was collaboratively planned for leadership within human services, mental health, and education. It will include presentations by implementation science experts and workshops focused on applied implementation.  All symposium materials are available online, including a Resource Guide that provides definitions and descriptions of different models of Implementation Science.
