Aging Initiative 2004 Summit The CalSWEC Aging Summit was held in October 2004. Its primary purpose was to develop a statewide coalition to create and sustain an action plan for the development of a social worker workforce to serve older persons. The summit attendees also evaluated current gerontology models of social work education and identified models that form the foundation of the CalSWEC Aging Competencies.
