The first Symposium on Fairness and Equity Issues in Child Welfare Training addressed a spectrum of issues directly tied to the inequities in the CWS system, and in how social workers, supervisors, and managers are trained. The symposium brought together trainers, educators, and county staff developers from around California to spend some time learning from each other and developing concrete strategies for positive change in the content and process of child welfare training.
