Mental Health Committee
2004 Summit
The Mental Health Initiative sponsored a statewide Mental Health Summit in July 2004.
Highlights included presentations by national and state mental health leaders: Charles Curie, administrator of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA); Dr. John Morris, co-chair of the Annapolis Coalition; Dr. Neal Adams, medical director of the California Department of Mental Health; and Dr. Stephen Mayberg, director of the California Department of Mental Health. Participants included deans, directors, and faculty from social work education programs, Mental Health directors from throughout the state, as well as other interested stakeholders and individuals with mental health expertise.
