Pathways to Permanency (Concurrent Planning)

Pathways to Permanency is an interdisciplinary training for Concurrent Planning.

The curriculum provides instructions on how to create an Interdisciplinary Team approach to providing families with a child in foster care in the child welfare system the services that will effectively provide the child with safety and permanence. It addresses family reunification issues while planning for adoption or another permanent plan.

The training is created to include:

  • Child welfare workers,
  • Lawyers,
  • Mental health service providers,
  • Substance abuse counselors,
  • Teachers,
  • Daycare workers, and
  • Others who interact with CWS and foster children.
