This brief training resource is designed to disseminate vital information about AB 1331, a law that went into effect in January 2008 on Accessing SSI to Improve the Transition for Foster Youth with Disabilities.

There are two parts to this resource: the Trainer's Guide (for Child Welfare Managers and Supervisors), and the Trainee's Guide (for Child Welfare Workers, Supervisors, and Managers). This training resource is designed to be conducted by a trainer, or by a supervisor or facilitator. It is designed to last about 90 minutes, so that the training may be provided during a regular meeting, such as a unit meeting.
