Affordable Care Act, Careers in Aging Gain Web Presence

CalSWEC has launched two web pages dedicated to topics of growing public interest and relevance

Affordable Care Act (ACA)
The new Affordable Care Act (ACA) webpage features the Understanding the Affordable Care Act webinar archive and PowerPoint. You’ll also find a wide range of tools, resources, and curriculum/training related to the ACA, Coordinated Care Initiative, and the role of social work in an integrated service delivery environment. The page also includes a frequently updated ACA News Stream.

Careers in Aging
The Careers in Aging webpage features a recently released two-minute video for recruiting potential social workers for aging and adult services--the perfect tool for universities, community colleges, high schools, and county staff development departments, among others. It was produced by CalSWEC and Merced County Human Services Agency.

The webpage also has numerous resources to help prospective students explore the field of aging and adult social work including financial aid programs, resource links, and schools of social work within the CalSWEC consortium with gerontology focus.
