CalSWEC Convenes Inaugural Title IV-E Summer Field Institute

The new IV-E Field Model was the focus of CalSWEC's first Summer Field Institute sponsored by its Title IV-E Child Welfare Training Program. The inaugural institute was held on July 22–23 at the Berkeley City Club.

A vital component of the Title IV-E Stipend Program, the field practicum has undergone a number of changes in recent years, beginning with the Field Instrucition Initiative, to accommodate economic and other challenges.

Institute participants, representing  the 13 schools of social welfare that are implementing the new IV-E Field Model, delved into the context and  values of the model, the theory of change governing it, and its components.
