Respect, Courtesy and Skillful Use of Authority

This eLearning module provides basic information on respect, courtesy, and the appropriate use of authority in the context of a child welfare setting. Information is provided on assessing one’s comfort with the use of authority and strategies that demonstrate courtesy and respect for children and families.

The minimum duration for completion of this e-learning is 30 minutes (based on total audio duration), however, online learning is designed to be self-paced.  There are interactions and supplemental material which require additional time for reading that is unique to each participant.  Please ensure that learners are provided with sufficient protected time to engage, retain and process the material provided.  Although CalSWEC cannot designate a specific amount of time for completion, we believe that in most cases,  limiting learners to the minimum duration for completion may ultimately decrease the transfer of learning.
