CWDA Training System Champions

In 2012, much of the funding for Child Welfare Services in California was allocated directly to the counties to spend, rather than being routed through the California Department of Social Services. This change, called realignment, makes it more important than ever for counties to have a direct voice in the statewide child welfare training system.

In response to this change, the Children's Committee of the County Welfare Directors Association (CWDA) of California in 2013 identified Statewide Training System Champions. These champions, executives in county child welfare departments, will provide guidance and review for system activities. Below are orientation documents for the Champions.
