Melinda Iremonger Joins In-Service Training Project

CalSWEC’s Child Welfare In-Service Training Project welcomes Melinda Iremonger as a training and curriculum specialist.

In making the announcement, project Director Melissa Connelly said, “Melinda comes to us with a wealth of experience as a social worker and supervisor in El Dorado and Yolo counties and as a social service consultant with CDSS. I'm very excited to welcome Melinda aboard and think her combined experience, skills, and abilities will be a great asset to the team.”

Melinda’s current projects include; revising Common Core Curricula modules for Supervisors, updating and modifying CSEC materials for the web-based toolkit, collaboration with stakeholders to revise and modify the Resource Family Approval (RFA) pieces of training and materials, in addition to the web-based and she works closely with CDSS regarding the training and revision of necessary materials for Continuum of Care Reform (CCR).

Most recently Ms. Iremonger was a social service consultant with the California Department of Social Services Child Welfare Program Policy and Program Development Bureau, where she developed regulations, policies, and procedures related to Child Welfare Services. Since 2012, she has been an MSW field instructor at California State University, Sacramento, where she earned her MSW.
