Mental Health Program


Through an interagency agreement with the Office of Statewide Health Planning & Development (OSHPD), the Mental Health Program (MHP) provides funding for stipends for MSW students at California schools of social work who are planning careers in the mental health system. The program also supports related academic and administrative activities.

CalSWEC maintains resources for students interested or participating in the Mental Health Program (MHP)MHP graduates, as well as other interested groups.

Academic Resources

A range of tools and resources for universities interested in developing, implementing, and enhancing behavioral health course curricula and building supportive environments for learning.  These include curriculum modules, sample syllabi, and supported education resources.

Technical Assistance and Consultation

CalSWEC and its partners can provide an array of technical assistance options for mental health workforce development and education, including symposia, consultation, meetings, and presentations.
