2017
  • Humboldt State University celebrated the graduation of its original Title IV-E Pathway Program cohort. “Last May we had the first of the original Pathway students graduate with her MSW, and this May [2017] we had three more of the original Pathway participants graduate,” reports Pathway Project Coordinator Michelle Rainer. “This is a great accomplishment after eight years!” Read the story.

  • California State University, Long BeachPractice Makes Perfect: Social Work Simulation Lab (third story from top of page) | January 2016: The School of Social Work at CSU, Long Beach offers its unique simulation lab for training its social work interns. “It’s a different world than sitting in a classroom pretending to be doing a visit,” says Director  Nancy Meyer-Adams.  “It is a safe space for students to practice their skills before meeting with families that may need their help. … When students are in the lab, there’s always a coach or mentor within the scene who is able to provide immediate feedback about the scene and the intern’s actions.”
