Research and Development Committee
The Research and Development (R & D) Committee engages in, sponsors, and directs evaluative and other research projects pertaining to social work education and social work practice in the public and not-for-profit social services. It currently funds Research/Practice Partnerships in child welfare. Additionally, in conjunction with the California Association of Deans and Directors, it has established a Research Award for MSW Students.
NEW! The committee is soliciting Letters of Intent to apply for the 2013 grant designed to develop sustainable university/practice (i.e., county or Tribal) partnerships that support the evaluation of emerging practices as identified in California’s Statewide Child Welfare Research Agenda. The deadline for submission of a Letter of Intent is June 30.
The Research and Training Network (RTN) works under the auspices of the R & D Committee.
