Student Day 2013: Evolving Social Work Practice

The Title IV-E Student Day 2013 will be held April 12, with the theme Evolving Social Work Practice: Social Reform in Action. The all-day, statewide event will be held at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel.

Held every spring, Student Day offers the opportunity for IV-E MSW students and faculty from CalSWEC's 21 graduate schools of social work to meet, network, and attend professional workshops focused on current and emerging child welfare practice. It is planned and coordinated by MSW student representatives of the graduate schools.

Ms. Danna Fabella of the Child and Family Policy Institute of California (CFPIC) will deliver the keynote address. A reception will follow, hosted by the California Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW)
