Finding your Way: The Map

Now that you have gotten started, you need to know the “Rules of the Road.” With any new initiative or legislative change, familiarizing yourself with the basic tenets of the reform will help you find your way.

What is discretionary? This toolkit ensures that you can address your operational needs, risk management, continuous improvement, and compliance. First, you’ll need to familiarize yourself with “CCR: A Report to the Legislature” and AB 403. Then, explore the web pages that the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) has filled with background and history of CCR.
