Dear CalSWEC Community,
As some of you know, I am stepping down as Executive Director on June 30, 2019. I leave with the rich experience of leading the nation’s largest and most notable workforce development program for social workers. I am grateful for this experience and the working relationships I have established both at UC Berkeley and among CalSWEC’s statewide stakeholder community. The “next steps” outlined in the 2016 Strategic Plan are in place, and structural changes to CalSWEC’s organization are underway.
I want to thank Dean Jeffrey Edleson and Berkeley Social Welfare for their support during my tenure. I would also like to extend my thanks to CalSWEC’s countless stakeholders and allies, and especially to the members of our past and current boards. They, along with Dean Edleson and the CalSWEC staff, “rode the wave” of organizational change with me during my tenure.
My sincere appreciation to all of you for enriching my life with this extraordinary opportunity to serve.
